Michael Vines received his master’s degree in English from Columbia University, after which he worked as a Creative Director for some New York's most renowned global advertising agencies.
He is the author of “Harry’s Family Trilogy”, consisting of “Harry Gets Wise”; “Treblinka, Mon Amour”; and “A Reason To Believe”. The novels follow an immigrant’s family as they seek meaning in an America that sometimes makes it hard to find.
“Harry Gets Wise” was honored by the highly regarded St. Louis Jewish Book Festival in November, 2024.
An excerpt from “Treblinka, Mon Amour”, and his short story “Last Words”, which features characters from “Harry’ Gets Wise”, were originally published online in the prestigious “Jewish Fiction Journal”.
His novels “Jefferson’s Bible” and “A Book for Burning” are part of his “American Bonkers” series, which explores our troubled national landscape in ways that can illuminate, edify, and entertain.
Michael lives in New York City with his wife where he enjoys reading, writing, and playing guitar.
