Karyn Johnston

Hello Beautiful people!

I'm Karyn, an actress turned creative director and children's book author. Growing up in the Scottish Highlands, I always had a deep interest in performing arts and community theatre, which eventually led me to pursue further education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

After graduation, I took a gap year in the Philippines to explore my heritage, and gain professional TV experience. This gap year turned into a 9-year journey working in the TV industry as an actress (GMA7/National Geographic/Fox Philippines), a TV commercial assistant director, and a magazine writer.

Now back in the UK, I work full-time as the CEO of my own company, "ChangeTheWorldWithKaryn." My big dream is to leave a huge impact on children's education worldwide by offering free educational resources and donating a portion of the profits to support educational initiatives for children from lower socio-economic backgrounds in the Philippines.

We have a free online children's book club at, where we offer worksheets, fun printouts, and many more exciting features. This site connects to our YouTube channel, "StoryTimeWithKaryn," where we bring children's books from amazing authors all over the world to life through low-stimulation animation. Each story ends with a discussion of the lessons learned, together with the characters.

I hope to continue making the world better through what I love to do. Thank you so much for your support!

With magic,

Karyn
