Young Jolyn

Jolyn Young grew up on her family’s cattle ranch in northern California. She moved to Nevada at age 23 to work on a ranch, then fell in love with a cowboy. They married and lived on several historic big outfits in Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona with their growing family. Jolyn wrote full-time for a ranching magazine before launching a humor column that has appeared in Western Horseman since 2021, Real Life Ranch Wife. Her first book, Never Burn Your Moving Boxes, was published in 2023. She's working on her second book, a sequel to her first memoir. Jolyn currently lives with her husband and their three kids on a ranch in southern California.
