1632 and Beyond

In 2000, Eric Flint made one of the most epically wrong miscalculations in science fiction. He thought his new book, "1632", was a stand alone novel. Wow was he wrong! We are closing in on 25 years with no end in sight. To date, approximately 200 writers have written 102 volumes of the Grantville Gazette magazine and dozens of novels. Currently, Baen Books is the only publisher for 1632 novels.

Eric Flint's 1632 & Beyond magazine is the latest addition to the universe. It's a bimonthly magazine (published the 1st of odd months) with short stories set in the 1632verse. It takes the place of the Gazette.

In the 1632verse alternate history, the small town of Grantville gets sent back from 2000 in West Virginia to 1632 in war-torn Thuringia, Germany. With the Thirty Years War raging around them, these perfectly normal small town people set about changing the world.
