Caroline Rowland

Caroline Rowland is the founding editor of 91 Magazine - a British independent interiors and lifestyle print magazine, featuring creative interiors, inspiring ideas, and stories of small creative businesses and people.

Caroline - an ex-picture editor for FT Weekend - launched 91 Magazine online in 2011, going into print in 2016. The magazine publishes biannually as well as publishing a wealth of content online every week.

Caroline’s first book, The Shopkeeper’s Home, was released in 2015, and in 2023 Caroline decided to self-publish a series of books under the 91 Magazine brand called PLACES. The first in the series, PLACES to shop: independent lifestyle stores across the UK, published in August 2023.

Caroline lives in Surrey, UK, with her husband, daughter & two cats. She enjoys tending to her large collection of houseplants, gardening, crafts, travelling and of course shopping with wonderful independent shops wherever she goes!
