Jasmine Henderson is the founder and sole creative force behind Bijou Publications, a boutique literary house dedicated to fostering her growing catalogue of work. A writer, publisher, and creative entrepreneur, Jasmine began her literary journey in 2015 with the release of My Brother’s Keeper, a gripping urban-crime series that quickly cultivated a devoted following. Encouraged by its reception, she went on to publish Jezebel, a romance novel set during the Harlem Renaissance, originally penned in her teenage years and inspired by the Sade ballad of the same name. Jezebel became the first official release under Bijou after its founding in 2019.
With a decade of experience and a deeply rooted commitment to creative independence, Jasmine uses Bijou as a personal imprint. It is a sacred space where her stories are fostered with full artistic freedom and curated with intention. As the sole author published under the Bijou banner, she blends storytelling with style, legacy, and an editorial sensibility that’s all her own.
In addition to her writing, Henderson also works as a Literary Consultant who advises authors in crafting, publishing, and marketing their stories with both clarity and confidence. Jasmine currently resides in her hometown of Rochester, New York, where she is penning her fourth novel, The Yearning of Distant Hearts.
