Dr. Guy D. Alba

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Guy Alba has a B.S. In Business Management, M.Ed. in Counseling, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Prior to his work as an educator, his business career included designing athletic shoes, and owning and operating his own fitness center and karate studio. He followed his lifelong dream to become a teacher. His education work background includes teaching at the elementary, secondary, under-graduate, graduate, and adult education levels. He has served as a school counselor, elementary and secondary school principal, district wide supervisor of counseling services, and consultant/professional development facilitator at the national level. Much of his professional work has focused on facilitating school and business/community partnerships. He published the Partners Affecting Learning (PAL) Evaluation Model for School and Business Partnerships and the corresponding PAL Evaluation Tool for partnership facilitation, as well as a number of related articles. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife, Susan.
