Scott Sanders

Scott Sanders is an Emmy-, Grammy-, and Tony-winning producer. Having developed The Color Purple musical from its inception, he produced both its 2005 premiere and 2015 revival on Broadway, as well as the 2023 feature film adaptation. His producing credits also include the movie musical In The Heights, Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and Broadway productions including Tootsie, After Midnight, Elaine Stritch: At Liberty, and The Pee-wee Herman Show. Scott resides in Los Angeles and Provincetown with his husband, Brad, whom he married in 2008 in a ceremony officiated by Alice Walker.
