Laurie Koss

Laurie Koss is an award-winning Canadian artist and author whose work explores storytelling, reflection, and the meaning found in everyday life. She is best known for her close-up floral paintings, including two national commissions for Canada Post’s Flower Series stamps and a Royal Canadian Mint twenty-dollar collector’s coin.

Born and raised in Vancouver, where she studied Fine Arts and English at the University of British Columbia, Laurie now lives in Kelowna with her husband. Alongside her work as a painter she enjoys mentoring emerging artists and serving as a senior member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

When she’s not painting or writing (or stumbling into the occasional “only me” moment), Laurie enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, practicing yoga, travelling, tending her vegetable garden, and continuing her lifelong pursuit of personal growth.
