K. A. Bye

K. A. Bye was born and raised with nine siblings on a farm in the Midwest. Her life has taken unexpected turns that have led her to the writing of this book. Her large family has welcomed many new members over the years, but has also experienced numerous losses. Her memoir is written from those life experiences. In addition to writing, Kathy loves spending her time with family and friends. Since her retirement from education, she and her husband, Bob, travel to different parts of the United States and the world where they have met a large variety of people with their own unique stories to tell.

K. A. Bye is the author of the award-winning Interactive Book About Me series; My Trip to the Zoo, I Like Birthdays, I Like Holidays, and Visiting My Grandmother. They received awards from National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, Learning Magazine Teachers’ Choice Award for Family, Mom’s Choice Awards Honoring Excellence, and the Creative Child Preferred Choice Award.
