Rachel C. Sumner

Rachel C. Sumner is a psychobiologist specialising in understanding how stress impacts health and wellbeing. She is a chartered psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a Senior Research Associate at University of Bristol. Rachel's research spans work seeking to understand psychosocial impacts to cellular health, large-scale studies to understand the impact of stress on populations (such as the CV19 Heroes project), and also social prescribing programmes that use art or nature to support health and wellbeing.
