Effua Gleed

Effua is an author, poet and storyteller. She has written scripts for the CBeebies ‘Story Makers’ series and BBC Radio. Effua worked with Professor Benjamin Zephaniah and Michael Rosen on the ‘BBC Raw’ poetry project. She has also written and illustrated storybooks for the NHS and SureStart.

Effua presented the Sky TV children’s programme ‘Telling Tales’ and she currently facilitates multicultural, interactive storytelling workshops nationally and internationally. Effua also offers workshops for parents/carers and teachers on bringing stories to life.

Her first book ‘The Snotty Dribbler’ is for early readers, published by Bloomsbury Publishing. And her debut picture book, ‘The Princess and The Pee’, was published by Quarto on World Book Day, 7th March 2024 in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
