Scott Ludwig

Scott Ludwig married Cindy, his high school sweetheart, after they both graduated from the University of Florida in 1977. It goes without saying that they are both die-hard Gators. One year into their marriage, Scott had gained 30(ish) pounds, at which point Cindy said to him, 'you're fat, go run.'

So he did ... and never stopped. In fact, when he (intentionally!) ended his consecutive days running streak on November 30, 2023, he had accumulated 166,000 miles and had run consecutively for 45 years and one day, giving him the fourth longest (retired) running streak in the United States (look it up!).

After a 39 year career in logistics, Scott retired in 2018. He published his first book, 'Running through My Mind,' in 2007. All total, he has written 10 books about his favorite sport, as well as many other books on whatever subject he feels like writing about.

He currently writes weekly columns for three newspapers in Georgia ... again, about whatever subject he feels like writing about. Several of his books are compilations of 101 of his newspaper columns (per book). During college football season, he writes weekly recaps of the games in his popular 'Moving the Chains' columns.

As for his style of writing, Scott refers to it as 'short attention span theater,' meaning that it doesn't take very long to read any particular section of his books ... and if you put the book down and don't read it again until a month or two later, you'll easily pick up right where you left off. (That's right: they're the perfect bathroom companions!)

Scott and Cindy have two sons, one of whom they lost to a drug overdose in 2020. Josh, a bright and athletically gifted young man, was just 34 years old. His parents are committed to fulfilling Josh's dream of 'leaving an awesome legacy.' (Scott's more recent publications are part of his Southern Exposure series, compliments of the Awesome Legacy Publishing Company.)

Their other son, Justin, is married to the former Esha Ramsey, and are raising Krischan, Scott and Cindy's favorite - as well as one and only - grandson.

The Ludwig's live in Senoia, Georgia, 'the perfect setting for life' as well as the home of The Walking Dead.
