John Harris

John Harris is Pap Pap to six grandchildren, and pastor of Impact Grace Church in central Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Penny, have spent more than thirty years directing church camps and retreats. He still takes Tuesday breakfast with the grandchildren. Before he was a pastor he was a professor. He holds a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering and taught for 33 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus. He gave his life to Christ before the doctorate was finished, and the call to ministry outlasted the classroom.

He writes the way he teaches: Scripture first, then the ordinary day. Praying to a Mighty God is about how prayer works in the life of a believer. Building Blocks of Grace begins with salvation and what it means to be a new creation. Sophia’s Greatest Teachings is what a two-year-old granddaughter taught him about God on Friday afternoons and one summer at the ocean. She is a senior now. The lessons have not aged.

He and Penny live in Pennsylvania. The grandchildren still set the pace.
