Mr. Mark R. Blum

MARK BLUM BIOGRAPHY

Mark Blum is a very unique, deep and revolutionary thinker! His books advocate the pragmatic knowledge he has gained from decades of business experience, observation of human nature and study. He is a lifetime serial entrepreneur founding several businesses. A philosopher and Project Manager who believes that the current social and political matrix is not working.

Blum’s books present pragmatically based solutions and alternatives to the current status-quo. He is a Project Management graduate of the University of British Columbia.

His latest book is "Misconceptions and Remedies"

This is a compendium of his books and philosophic writings, that delves into deep philosophical questions such as the nature of God and human consciousness. The meaning of life and it's purpose, the reality of human nature. Blum ties this into his concept of the nature of the human animal and contends that most religious and political, “isms” are misleading in their premises and advocations representing exclusively biased, vested interest, of their advocates.

Blum is of the belief that only pragmatic acceptance of human nature as both seen and proven by human behaviors in pragmatic terms, is the only valid way of determining the way humanity must govern ourselves, and that most other perspectives are deeply flawed in their fundamental premises, in that they have no checks or balances against the abuse of power/authority.

Blum contends that most government and political ideologies embrace the concept of coercion as a means to acquire social compliance, and are thus based upon dictatorial compliance, rather than acquiescence due to social recognition of the necessity for acceptance of diversity, which is the authentic bases of human nature according to Blum; which he believes explains all government tyranny throughout human history to the present day.

Blum speaks of humanity as fundamentally self-centered and egotistical. That human governments must be independently regulated by societies most senior of citizens (like the native American perspective of "elders ruling”).

Blum suggests that this can be done by a "self-checking system", that has an elected authoritative independent judicial Senate.

He believes that in democratic and non-democratic nations, that the legislature is out of control, abusive and completely corrupted for personal and political party gain, and thus these systems need to have a separate state apparatus of an elected and independent, Judicial Senate that has no authority to legislate, but rather focuses upon equal law enforcement and interpretation as a primary objective as an executive function, able to override the legislature regarding human rights. Blum believes this “Senate” should have the authority to remove corrupt politicians and investigate governing corruption of any type and could do this authoritatively by virtue of being an elected body composed exclusively of members that must exceed 60 years of age, without party affiliations.

This independent Judicial Council (limited by age and only those native-born citizens) will be elected as independent regional representatives. They will as a governing body be responsible to prosecute political corruption, and conduct public investigations and trials regarding all suspected illegal corruption. In addition, the Senate would oversee the dispensation of justice in the courts, appoint judges and shall also compose of a court of enquiry, as a truly independent justice system. Ensuring that all government malfeasance or other corrupt practices are kept in check, particularly defending the integrity of the system, to eliminate and or minimize corruption that is all too common with governments that are out of control at this time, and not in reality acting accordance to the rule of law.

Blum contradicts German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer who said that; "From the crooked wood of humanity, nothing straight can be built." Blum believes that from the crooked wood of humanity, checks and balances, as he advocates, that humanity's corruption can be diminished greatly. He does this by walking the reader through a rendition of his personal experiences and historical reflections upon the failures of capitalism, communism, fascism, democratic nations and judicial systems in nations that profess to be democratic. He has in effect created a new ideology for the 21st century that may in future be a new ism.... perhaps Blum-ism.
