Kim Day

Kim grew up on a council estate in Watford at the age of 10 Kim's mother died, she then spent her teenage years under the care of social services frequently relocating and wrestling with an unsettled existence. Her emotional struggles led her to drop out of school at 15 and later abandon her pursuit of art school.

At the age of 18, she became street homeless and travelled around the UK and Ireland, later relocating to Cardiff, many years later, through diligent self-work and determination, Kim obtained a BA (Hons) in youth and community. Gaining experience from assisting individuals dealing with substance misuse to supporting young people with additional needs. Her experience extends to working with students attending a pupil referral unit, aiding those at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation, and supporting young individuals facing homelessness.

Her passion for supporting young people grew stronger, prompting her to pursue an MA in advanced youth and community and an MSc in Psychology (conversion). Kim currently works within police custody supporting 10 to 17- year-olds who find themselves entangled in the criminal justice system.
