Sandra Rosner is an Australian high school principal who researched upward bullying in the teaching profession for her M.Ed., making the Dean’s Honours List.
She has enjoyed an eclectic career in large suburban high schools, small remote schools, distance education and community schools. She has worked as an adviser to school staff, principals and directors of schools. Sandra has seen workplace bullying in all three manifestations: downward, horizontal and upward. She believes upward bullying is the least understood and most damaging.
Sandra has earned a reputation for her ability to minimise the impact of adult bullies. She developed a suite of strategies to deal with numerous scenarios. Colleagues seek her guidance, act on her advice and pass on what they learn to help others.
While her personal experience has been mostly in education, Sandra has spent time in the service industry, witnessing the harm upward bullies cause to small business. Her M.Ed. research afforded valuable insights into how far reaching bullying the boss is in workplaces around the world.
Sandra lives in the Byron Bay hinterland with her husband and two cats. She also loves dogs.
