Jerri Lien

Jerri Lien once was lost inside a picture book and never quite made it back out. She grew up inhaling novels into the night, then breathed a love for reading into her son, the real-life Bradley Jay, now a grown-up who still enjoys a good book.

Wife, mom, aunt, missionary, and educator who believes every kid deserves a cape and a quest. She still has a penchant for moonlit stories and coaxing sleepy eyes and wagging tails toward the grandest of dreams.

One sunrise, Jerri, her hero-husband Scott, and their eighteen-pound tornado Bixby bundled into a covered wagon (okay, a Volkswagen) and traded Washington’s whispering evergreens for Arizona’s cotton-candy sunsets. Bixby celebrated by chewing on a brand new cabinet, burping up some plot twists, and inspiring two adorable picture books: Bixby and the Very Bad Idea (spoiler: it’s a darling way to teach littles about the Golden Rule) and Bixby and the Very Jolly Christmas (think festive Santa visits and learning what the true gifts are in life).

Grab your copies (and their matching coloring books), kick off your shoes, and let Ms. Lien lead you into a puppy dog world where Bixby’s spunk has every page smelling like adventure, and the main rule is: be kind, have fun, and love your peeps and pets!
