S E Allen

S E Allen is the author of the children's picture book The Bear is Bored - the first in the ‘How I Feel’ series. S E Allen has been writing since she was a small child, winning her first writing competition at just 6 years old with her adaptation of the classic Little Red Riding Hood - her story Little Bluebelle was circulated to all the local schools and read out on local radio. She has always been drawn to the power of words to create new worlds and unforgettable characters. She is currently working on her debut novel - a cosy murder mystery set in Cornwall and continues to write the next instalment of the How I Feel Series - The Anxious Ankylosaurus.

She is passionate about mental health and emotional wellbeing and often uses this in her work - exploring the topic in a meaningful way. S E Allen is also a strong supporter of reading and developing a love of books from an early age. She is a children's book enthusiast and believes strongly that reading will be a great saviour in the battle against poor mental health in our youth.

When she isn't writing, she can be found reading, baking, or spending time with her loved ones.
