J.D. Maxwell

J.D. Maxwell has lived most of his life in the Twin Cities and currently lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is a self-proclaimed history buff, particularly regarding World War II and the American Civil War, and always wished to have a go at writing a work of fiction. The idea for this, his first novel, came to him while visiting France and the Indre-et-Loire region with his friend April Johnson in 2016. While walking the halls and grounds of Château de Chenonceau (near the town of Chenonceaux, France), he overheard an equally awe-struck visitor tell her travel companion: "Someone should write a book about this place!" The author couldn't have agreed more and eventually used his imagination to do so.
