Now semi-retired, I initially served in the Royal Navy for a decade, mainly in submarines, before moving to work in the commercial world. Then, for the next thirty five years, I worked in the investment and risk analysis sector. Latterly, I spent a few years devising and then delivering self-employment training for offenders transitioning out of the criminal justice system. I am currently a business mentor to students and businesses and an investor in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

TRANSIENTS was my first published book and was published in September 2023. Two years later, in May 2025, I published its sequel, ALICE IN THE SHADOWS. The third and final book of the wartime trilogy, RATS AND MOUSERS, was published in July 2026.

More books are in the planning, but they will be completely different to the Alice Peters trilogy - and far more contemporary!
