Alex Prior attended the University of Manchester and then pursued a career in Television and Film for the next decade or so, eventually ending up at Elstree Film Studios. He has written scripts, commercial copy, and even musicals.
He slowly changed career to education after being asked to deliver some guest lectures, and became a school leader and then Headteacher of several challenging schools.
He has a lifelong interest in space science, geology, and paleontology, and lives in Central Bedfordshire and Somerset with his wife Emma and son Jamie.
He is a huge fan of Blackadder, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, and collecting weird and wonderful ephemera.
“The Lost Case Files of Sherlock Holmes” was his first book, published in November 2020, and it went on to become a bestseller and received rave reviews.
“Spencer Edwards: Emperor of the Galaxy” is the first of a new series and he was delighted to collaborate with world-famous Marvel artist Adi Granov on the spectacular cover artwork.
