E. D. Brown

E. D. Brown (a.k.a. Liza) is an intersectional-black and Asian member of the LGBTQ+ community, born in the Philippines to a Nigerian father and a Filipina mother. Liza has over two decades of experience in engineering and leadership, specializing in transformation. By leveraging her diverse background in engineering systems and management expertise, Liza offers a distinct perspective in her approach. She utilizes systems engineering principles to empower businesses and individuals in their journeys to drive transformative growth and change.

Liza completed her undergrad degree in mechanical engineering and holds multiple master’s degrees, including information systems, systems engineering, and management. She has worked in several industries and led private and public organizations in various aspects of transformation. She also mentors and coaches teams and individuals on ways to succeed in their careers and is considered an expert in her field. Liza loves sharing her insights and has written books about success and how to apply systems engineering principles to success in various aspects of life.

Liza is currently a Federal Civilian leading IT transformation for U.S. defense businesses, delivering effective engineering services. She spends much time determining commonalities across portfolios and identifying opportunities to increase the speed in delivering solutions and capabilities for the U.S. Navy through transformation.
