Dr. Mike Hackney

Dr. Mike Hackney is the founder of ShaydeTree Enterprises, a business consulting and executive coaching company. After an eight-year stint as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer, he began his thirty year business career in Chicago with PepsiCo, moving to other companies including Sara Lee, and ConAgra Brands. He is a published author for both fiction and non-fiction, academic researcher, and speaker. As a general aviation pilot, he contributes to aviation-related publications on flying and aviation safety. During his business career he received numerous accolades for turning around under-performing divisions, creating motivated and sustainable cultures, and establishing environments that fostered positive operational efficacy and team-member performance. When not working with clients, speaking, or writing, he spends his time with his wife traveling across the globe, flying their plane across the U.S., and attending music concerts.
