Peter Campbell

Dr. Peter B. Campbell is an underwater archaeologist that studies shipwrecks, sunken cities, and underwater caves. He is Lecturer in Archaeology at Cranfield University (UK), a National Geographic Explorer, and a Fellow of the Explorers Club. His published works include The Archaeology of Underwater Caves (2017), Κορσιητῶν νῆσοι (2019), Trinacria, ‘An Island Outside Time’: International Archaeology in Sicily (2021), Contemporary Philosophy for Maritime Archaeology: Flat Ontologies, Oceanic Thought and the Anthropocene (2023), and Rivers and Waterways in the Roman World (2023).
