I'm a Colorado native, husband and father and received a degree in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University, before going on to work as a TV news photographer, an overseas cameraman in Saudi Arabia, and a freelance videographer and Director of Photography (DP) based in Denver. Having the opportunity to travel to different countries on assignments allowed me to pursue another interest of learning about world religions and cultures. Some video DP credits in this area include, "The Great Mystery", a documentary exploring six major world religions; "They Chose Islam," a series for Algerian TV; and “What One Child Can Do,” documenting a Children As Teachers of Peace mission to the Soviet Union featuring John Denver. I was also a cameraman for the Focus on the Family production, “Faith Lessons on the Early Church,” shot in Israel and Turkey. Because I had some issues with how Christianity was being presented, I became more interested in studying the life and teachings of Jesus, especially his "missing years." My research eventually led to the writing of this book, "Rocking the Boat: Is It Time to Update Christianity?"
