Marlee Jean developed a love of stories at a young age and always wanted to be an author when she was little. As she got older, Marlee wanted to be many things – a journalist, a teacher, a musician...

Throughout her life she became many things, always putting pen to paper as she went.

From published poet and amateur music journalist in her teen years, to self-published award-winning children’s book author in adulthood.

Marlee grew up in Far North Queensland and has lived in many places throughout Australia. She has now settled in sunny Southeast Queensland where she shares her days with her quiet partner and their two loud and lively children.
