Who knew a career in electronics manufacturing could lead to writing children’s books? Not me, that’s for sure! After 40+ years of assembling circuits and navigating the labyrinth of tech, I decided it was time to switch gears—from soldering to storytelling.

My writing journey started way back in school when I found that crafting tales for English assignments was a lot more fun than solving algebra problems. Fast forward to the lockdown of 2020, and I finally dusted off my lifelong dream of becoming an author. Turns out, writing isn’t so different from engineering: both require imagination, patience, and a fair bit of trial and error (though, thankfully, less risk of an electric shock!).

Inspired by the arrival of my granddaughter, I penned my debut children’s book, Pet Talk. It’s a colourful, whimsical dive into the world of animals and imagination, and I’m proud to see it finding its way into the hands of young readers.
