Scott Philbrook

Born near the enigmatic Death Valley, California, Scott's early life was influenced by his father, a military engineer at China Lake Naval Base. His upbringing saw him traverse different states, moving from Denver to North Carolina. Scott's academic journey culminated at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications, with a focus on Radio, Television, and Film.

Upon graduation, Scott ventured westward with his fiancé to Los Angeles, initially working as a tape runner for a prominent Commercial and Music Video post-production facility. His tenacity and dedication saw him ascend to an Editor's role, marking the beginning of a 17-year career editing commercials and music videos across the vibrant cities of Los Angeles and New York City.

His personal life evolved alongside his professional endeavors. Scott and his wife made New York their home for nine years following 9/11, during which she penned scripts for Saturday Night Live. The birth of their son inspired Scott to take a hiatus from his career to embrace full-time parenthood until their son began school.

Intrigued by the strange and unusual since childhood, Scott, when ready to rejoin the workforce, decided not to return to his former field. Instead, he partnered with his long-time friend Forrest Burgess to create 'Astonishing Legends'. Over the past decade, the duo has produced over 270 episodes, closing in 100 Million listens as of the outset of 2024. They love exploring the uncharted territories of the unknown, driven by their shared insatiable curiosity. Their venture into the realm of the extraordinary continues, with many more mysteries yet to be unraveled.
