DR. DILIP NATH

Dilip Nath is a high school junior from Buford, Georgia. At thirteen, he was diagnosed with puberphonia, a rare voice disorder affecting approximately 1 in 900,000 people, which left him unable to speak normally for an entire year. After countless doctor visits that offered no answers, Dilip found hope at 3 AM through a YouTube video by speech therapist SLP Sanjay Kumar in Bengaluru, India. Through months of intensive therapy—daily sessions starting at 5 AM across twelve time zones—he recovered his voice just before starting high school.

Today, Dilip is active in debate team, student government, lacrosse, and photography club. He wrote Silent Struggles: Finding My Voice to be the resource he wished existed during his darkest days—and to remind other teens facing invisible struggles that they are not alone.

He lives in Georgia with his parents and three brothers.
