John Headley

Hi everyone, my name is John Headley, welcome to my first book, " Peter The Penguin Who Wanted To Fly ". A percentage of my sales will be Donated to " Save The Children Charity". I wrote this book in the early 1990s when my children were small. Now that I'm older, one of my to do list's was to recreate the story for others. I would say the book is for young children to enjoy with its many illustrations, which were hand illustrated by my father in law David William Holland, many thanks to him for that. So here is some info about myself, I have played guitar on and off for over 40 years and in 1987 I went on a European tour with Carl Perkins, the man who wrote Blue Suede Shoes. In the mid 90s I was known for writing and recording songs about famous people including Joan Collins , Trevor Macdonald, Lily Savage to name a few, also appearing on National tv and in the press. They were great memories. Since 1998 I have been a full time mobile entertainer and in 2015 I was the first person in the world to have a website dedicated to playing clients favourite music at wakes and funerals! I love writing songs and have some listed on Spotify. Hi Everyone Just Keeping You up to date good news, my 2nd Children's book has just been released on Amazon, Basil The Crab, all about Basil his everyday life at the seaside in Hunstanton. Keeping fit, looking after the environment and spending time with family and friends.
