Dr. Ashutosh Kumar is a Senior interventional cardiologist cum cardiac Electrophysiologist who has made exceptional contributions to the field. He received his initial education from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Delhi, Mount Abu, and Kanpur.He did his MBBS from Sri Krishna Medical College in Muzaffarpur in 2002 followed by MD in General Medicine from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University in 2006. He stood first in the All-India DM entrance examination in 2006 in his first attempt and opted for cardiology at the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata and completed his cardiology DM residency in 2009.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kumar has gained extensive experience and achieved remarkable milestones. He has held significant positions in academia, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiology at GSL Medical College Rajahmundry and later at Narayana Medical College Nellore Andhra Pradesh

Seeking to broaden his expertise, Dr. Kumar sought international exposure by completing a fellowship at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also undertook observerships at prestigious institutions such as the German Heart Centre in Munich, Aurora Health Centre in Milwaukee, and Veteran General Hospital in Taiwan.

Dr. Kumar's dedication and commitment to excellence have earned him international recognition. He is one of only a few cardiac electrophysiologists from India to hold the prestigious certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE, USA) for cardiac device specialists (CCDS) and adult Electrophysiology (CEPS-AC). He has also been felicitated as a Fellow from world esteemed organizations such as the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS), and the Society of Cardiology Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI).

Currently serving as the Clinical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at CARE Group Hospital in Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. He pursues his thirst for teaching and training cardiac electrophysiology as a faculty (Associate Professor of Cardiology) at Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad India

Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, Dr Kumar established the Heartbeat Foundation, Hyderabad, a charitable trust focused on raising awareness about heart rhythm disorders and facilitating their treatment.

Dr. Kumar's expertise encompasses a wide range of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac angiographies, angioplasties, pacemaker and implantable cardiac device placements, and cardiac radio-frequency ablations. He has extensive experience in 3D mapping of complex cardiac arrhythmias and ablations. Additionally, he authored the book "ECG to Ablation- A comprehensive guide to cardiac Electrophysiology (ISBN-13:978-8119170371, ISBN-10:8119170377) for cardiologists and electrophysiologist".

Dr. Ashutosh Kumar has made significant contributions to the field through his publications in both national and international journals. He also serves as an editorial board member for esteemed journals such as Clinical Reviews and Opinions, Journal of Cardiology and Therapeutic, and Journal of Scientific & Innovative Research.
