Emily Holmes

Emily is a speech-language pathologist who loves dinosaurs, dogs, and making things. She has worked in schools, a hospital, and private practice over the last decade, working predominantly with children with a variety of communication and feeding needs. Her goal in writing is to help those kids believe in their dreams and put more into the world that represents the diversity they embody.

Emily is known for being extra, info-dumping about new hobbies, making up songs about absolutely everything, and dreaming about snuggling in a blanket fort.

She wrote the upcoming book, Roary’s Talker, to celebrate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) users accessing their voices everywhere. She wrote Doggy Howlsler, M.D. in honor of her 15 year old doxie, Charlie, who passed away earlier this year.
