Xavier Campos Ballester is a former United Nations international civil servant, conference interpreter and lawyer, specializing in international and comparative law, and an expert in international negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution.

He has been instrumental in numerous diplomatic and business meetings in many parts of the world. He speaks and uses professionally Catalan, English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish. He is also fluent in Arabic.
