Greg Schulz has been in the Gospel ministry for nearly 50 years, serving in parish ministry for 14 years (in two churches with Lutheran day schools and, very briefly, in a Lutheran high school); ever since, as a professor of theology and philosophy in Lutheran higher education.
He is Professor of Theology and Academic Dean at The Lutheran School of Theology, Kenya.
With earned doctorates both in Ministry (Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana) and in Philosophy (Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin), he has authored journal articles and reviews in philosophy and theology, book chapters, and his own books such as The Problem of Suffering, published in a second expanded edition by Concordia Publishing House, and later translated for use by the Lutheran Church of Latvia. His most recent book is Luther's Hermeneutic of the Scriptures Alone for the 21st Century, available on Amazon and also as a copyrighted PDF which seminaries and schools, pastors and readers may download to print at no cost from Lutheran News.
Professor Schulz has taught and lectured at the university and seminary levels in the United States and Canada. He has also lectured and taught overseas at Cambridge University, the Lutheran Seminary in Hong Kong, in mainland China, and most recently at universities and Lutheran seminaries in South Africa and Kenya.
He is the host of the popular teaching and learning platform LUTHERAN PHILOSOPHER, "Fostering clear, crucial, and CHRISTian thinking and conversation."
