Eric Grate is a writer originally from Greenfield, Ohio, now living in Danville, KY. He published his first book, “The Streets of Greenfield,” a short story cycle set in the southern Ohio Appalachian town of Greenfield, Ohio, in November 2023. His second book, a collection of twenty vignettes entitled, "Snapshots In Time," was published in October 2024.
Eric is currently working on his first non fiction book, a memoir titled "The Notorious Adams Boys." It details the life of Don, Gary, and Arnie Adams, known as The Adams Boys Band, and their time on the road with country music greats George Jones, "Little" Jimmy Dickens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, and many others. The book is scheduled to be released on April 20, 2026.
Also on the horizon is his fourth book, the follow-up to, “The Streets of Greenfield.” Eric hopes to release this book in late 2026.
Eric calls his genre of fiction “hardscrabble fiction.” He describes his non fiction biography work as "the truth as I know it to be."
