Trisha Danah

Trisha has had a passion for language since she first held a book and watched her parents read aloud stories, which inspired her to pursue a career in language - specifically American Sign Language and English. Trisha has dreamed of writing a book for infants, children, and young adults. Trisha is born to Deaf family and she is Deaf herself. Trisha is also a mother of a Deaf child. Trisha has been an educator for 10 years. She has taught Preschool through High School as an ASL-English Bilingual teacher, ASL-English Bilingual Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal. She currently is a Statewide Programs Coordinator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Director of Early Childhood Program for DHH. Throughout her career, she noticed that there are not enough ASL-English Bilingual books for infants, toddlers, and children. Trisha decided to take action and publish first ASL-English Bilingual high-contrast books for all babies and children, both Deaf and hearing.
