Tim Durling

TIM DURLING is a life-long music enthusiast. A radio copywriter and on-air voice in Atlantic Canada, he graduated from radio broadcasting in the early Nineties. While listening to his favourite albums Tim would absorb the liner notes, giving him an encyclopedic knowledge of music.

His love for physical media and the 8-track led to 30+ years of research and to writing UNSPOOLED: An Adventure in 8-Tracks. Tim's YouTube channel Tim's Vinyl Confessions has been active since 2014.

In December 2023, Tim published his second book, DOWN FOR THE COUNT: The Y&T Album Review.

His next book LET IT BE YOUR GUIDE: The Kansas Album Review was released six months later in June 2024.

In October 2024, Tim released his fourth book, RED ON BLACK: The Listener's Guide to Sammy Hagar.

June 2025 saw the release of Tim's fifth book, SING ME AWAY: The Night Ranger Album Review.

In October 2025 Tim published his sixth (and latest) book: THE SOUND THAT HAUNTS YOU: A Beginner's Companion to Fleetwood Mac.

He lives in Canterbury, New Brunswick with his wife, Sarah.
