Lucas Rivera

Lucas Rivera, a multidisciplinary Afro-Puerto Rican artist and innovative entertainment management executive. With a strong dedication to his Latino community in North Philadelphia, Rivera spearheaded the development of an arts facility focused on arts education at Esperanza Academy Charter. As the Executive Director of Artist and Musicians of Latin America (AMLA), he produced diverse salsa festivals in Philadelphia and played a key role in nurturing the next generation of Latin Jazz artists.

Rivera's visionary work as the former Vice President of Grand Park in Los Angeles, where he programmed over 550 events and created Los Angeles's very own New Year's Eve event, NYELA, attracted over 50,000 attendees per year. He then joined Fairplex as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Programming, where he helped usher in a new era of creating events that celebrate the City of Pomona and Southern California's cultural diversity. Currently, Rivera is the Founder and CEO of Sakul Creative, a consulting agency that focuses on event strategy and program development grounded in community. In addition to his work in arts management, Rivera is an accomplished visual artist, arts educator, spoken word artist, dancer, and music producer, with his work exhibited and performed across the United States.
