I’ve always believed that the best stories are born from what we love most.

For me, it all began with Samy, my companion in life and travel — a golden retriever who has taught me more than I ever imagined: to enjoy the present, to look at the world with curiosity, and to find joy even in the simplest days.

I’m Jorge Rodríguez, and for over six years I’ve been dedicated to early childhood education. I’ve always believed that children learn best when they’re having fun—through play, stories, and imagination. But with the rise of screens and constant information, I began to feel that creativity and curiosity were in danger. That’s when the need to write was born in me.

Soon after came Samy, and with him, an idea that changed my life: our time on Earth is fleeting, but stories can make a part of us last forever. I wanted Samy to live on through books, to keep his adventurous, gentle, and radiant spirit alive. And that’s how Samy Tales was born—a collection of stories and a publishing project inspired by him and by the pure way we both see the world.

Samy is my alter ego—the most innocent and brave version of myself. Through him, I try to share the values I believe in: friendship, empathy, communication, courage to face our fears, and the importance of chasing our dreams. These are stories that connect with both children and adults, reminding us that the world is full of places and stories waiting to be discovered.

What began as a simple hobby has become my greatest passion: creating books that bring families together, spark imagination, and leave an emotional mark.

And if one day I can live from this alone, I’ll know it was thanks to him… and to every reader who decided to follow Samy’s pawprints. 🐾
