I.M. Stoicus retired in 2017 as a Lieutenant Colonel with over thirty years of military service. He served as both a combat engineer and quartermaster officer. He is a combat veteran who was deployed or mobilized for nearly eight years in his military career. In 2004, he earned the Combat Action Badge and combat patch. In 2007, he completed his highest military schooling at Command and General Staff College. He is a Purdue Civil Engineer graduate, and in 1994, he was initiated as a Chi Epsilon, National Civil Engineering Honor Society. He has been a practicing engineer for over twenty-eight years. In 2002, he earned his professional engineer license. The author has additional degrees in Psychology and Philosophy, as well as a Master of Science in Management. In 2023, he founded Stoic Writings, LLC. His beloved family is comprised of his lovely wife and two Eagle Scout sons.
