David Lian

David Lian is a management consultant and author of The Incredible World of Aviation.

As a new author of aviation books, he hopes to encourage young people to chase their aviation dreams—just as he did as a child. With parental support and encouragement, the author learned to fly at the age of 16, obtained a commercial pilot license, and later became an aerobatic pilot and aircraft owner.

David has a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from The University of Sydney, and master’s degrees in aeronautics & astronautics, and industrial administration from Purdue University. He is a lifelong aviation nut currently residing in Australia with his wife, son, and cheeky parrot.
