Troy M. Olson is a post-9/11 Army veteran, lawyer-by-training, family man, writer, sergeant-at-arms for the New York Young Republican Club, and co-founder of the Veterans Caucus.
Troy is currently serving as a legislative director in the New York City Council.
In addition to a JD, Troy has an MA in International Relations and has a background in politics, law, writing, and real estate. For four years he housed veterans facing homelessness in NYC's five boroughs.
In January 2024 he co-authored “The Emerging Populist Majority” with Gavin M. Wax. Troy was born and raised in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and is based out of New York City where he lives with his wife Jacqueline, and his son, Theodore.
