GEETA DHARMARAJAN, whose name is synonymous with contemporary Indian fiction, is the founder and editor of KATHA Books and an inspirational writer, social entrepreneur and educationist. An award-winning writer for children and young adults, Geeta has authored more than 120 books and written over 450 articles for leading newspapers and magazines. In addition, Geeta’s work in literary translation has made KATHA a pioneering publisher in the country.

Amongst other awards, Geeta was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2012 for her contributions to the field of Literature and Education. She also served as honorary Chairperson of the National Bal Bhavan, Jawaharlal Nehru’s dream institution for children in India across economic and social divides.
