Dr William E Hamilton Jr

William E Hamilton, Jr. is a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Leadership with a specialization in Training and eLearning from the University of Arizona Global Campus. His dissertation was: English as a Foreign Language Teachers: Use of Intercultural Competence Tests to Inform Teaching Practice. This dissertation dealt with getting at culturally responsive teaching practices as well as leading to two foundational and advanced frameworks for doing so. Expect more books on this later! He also has been a Certified Professional in Talent Development from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) since 2016. He has been either an Excellence in Practice Judge or Best Awards Judge off and on for the past several years and has reviewed more than 40 submissions and nearly 100 hours of analysis, review, and comment. He is an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Assessor and qualified Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Teacher. As an EFL teacher since 2019, he has taught many culturally diverse online learners. Before the PhD, he worked as a lecturer and trainer at the Malaysian Maritime Academy and served more than 23 years in the U.S. Navy as both enlisted and officer in submarines and surface combatants. His last rank in the Navy as a surface warfare officer (SWO) before retirement in 2005 was Lieutenant Commander (O-4).
