Max Burger

Max Burger was born in 1948 in a DP camp in Germany. His parents, always protective, as many Holocaust survivors were, reluctantly revealed fragments of their stories over the years. His father survived labor camps and Dachau and his mother survived Siberian labor camps before they emigrated to the US. He was raised in New York City, graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and practiced as a family physician. Rogue Phoenix Press published his novels Even In Death in December 2023, a mystery/thriller of a 1970s Dublin pathologist searching for a stolen body, and My Father’s Father, a Holocaust Generations Novel, in April 2026.
