Janis Dehler

Minnesota artist and author, Janis Dehler, merges her passion for writing, art, spirit, and the natural world. The death of her infant daughter transformed Janis’ life and opened her to pursuing both deep inner exploration and inquiry as well as studies in spirituality, psychology, theology, body awareness, and energy flow. These pursuits ultimately found a home in her art and poetry.

For over 35 years, as a grief counselor and spiritual companion, Janis has supported individuals in the areas of grief, loss, and the healing of body, mind, spirit, and emotion. Janis offers a healing presence to individuals and groups as they seek to consciously open to and trust what life offers on their life journey.

One World: A Journey of Becoming was her first publication and the first in the Journey series. Unfolding the Heart: A Journey Toward Coherence is coming soon in January 2026 and continues the exploration of personal transformation and spiritual awakening.

Janis lives with her spouse along a river where nature, critters, and eagles, provide daily interest, inspiration, and teaching. Grandchildren offer delight and hope for the future.
