Katie Ness is a published writer and poet with a variety of literary sites, anthologies and print magazines such as Witchology, Femme Occulte, Witches Magazine, Occulture Magazine, The Feminine Macabre, The Enquiring Eye Magazine published by the Museum of Witchcraft & Magic at Boscastle, Kindred Spirit, Mulberry Literary, The C Word Mag, Poetry Cove, Running Wild and others. Her first poetry book 'Aphrodite Fever Dream' is published with Undressed Society Press and her second collection 'Juggernaut' is published with DarkThirtyPoetry Press. As an author signed with Moon Books, Katie's non-fiction pagan book is to be released late 2024.
She has lent her voice to events such as: Therapeutic Landscapes in Worcester, Brighid of Faughart Festival Ireland and Be Woman Project’s Navratri Festival.
When she isn’t writing, Katie is an Ayurvedic yoga and wellbeing teacher specialising in women’s wellness, Hatha yoga, Yoga Nidra and Pre/Postnatal Ayurveda, goddess circles, witch-crafts and cacao ceremonies.
In 2023 Katie attained diplomas on the Anthropology of Ritual & Magic as well as Archeology of the British Isles, Archeology of Sicily, the history of Hindu devotional chant, Yoga philosophy, Tantra and Classical studies as well as level 2 Ancient Greek, Latin and Sanskrit. She was awarded practical placements with Grampus Heritage Scheme to study traditional arts and craft in Cyprus in relation to Cypriot votive practice and folklore.
As of 2024 she is a trainee Genealogist with The IHGS. Her Masters degree in History is forthcoming, she is a budding occult and folklore historian.
In her free time she travels extensively–primarily to sacred and folkloric sites across Britain and abroad. At present she lives in London with her beloved, close to an ancient woodland. She is learning to play the lyre harp whilst completing a third poetry book and drafting a travel memoir over copius amounts of tea.
