C.L. Sweatt

C.L. Sweatt, an author with a passion for both the written word and humanitarian endeavors, embarked on her writing journey in 1998. Crafting stories since her high school days, she wrote her first novel, setting the stage for a literary career that would seamlessly intertwine with her dedication to community service.

Throughout her career, C.L. Sweatt has played various roles in the Greater Indianapolis Community, actively championing causes that promote human welfare, anti-human trafficking initiatives, missing persons efforts, emergency and disaster preparedness, economic literacy, and global awareness. Her recognition of her role as a humanitarian began in her early teens, sparking over 18 years of dedicated volunteerism and mentoring.

With a heart for service, C.L. Sweatt's commitment extends beyond the pages of her books. Having three published works to her name, including "Death Won" and "Why Our Damned Hearts were Broken," two of which are available on Amazon, she weaves tales that resonate with readers while remaining rooted in the essence of social consciousness.

Her journey in community service took a significant turn in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. Joining the Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis, she devoted the majority of her time to assisting Gulf Coast refugees in rebuilding their lives. This experience not only fueled her dedication to humanitarian efforts but also inspired the themes within her writings.

In addition to her impactful contributions to the community, C.L. Sweatt has served as an Intelligence Analyst for the Indiana National Guard, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to making a difference. A graduate of Marian University, American Military University, and Cochise College, she exemplifies a lifelong learner, having also studied at IUPUI, Indiana State University, and Marian University.
