Here I am, dear reader, a mountain and refuge enthusiast.
I started hiking and trekking as a young boy, with peers, no family passion involved. Right from the beginning, I noticed how life in the mountains followed different, slower, more normal, and human rhythms.
I have always frequented mountain huts, fixed stops for all my trips, fascinated by the interior environment and the beautiful sensations, but above all, by those mythical figures for me, the refuge managers.
I began to try to get to know, through stories, and understand how to collaborate with these "custodians" of the mountains.
The journey was as quick as it was fortunate, and I soon found myself having to choose whether to become a professional hut manager or stay in my comfort zone, with family and friends, a permanent job, a "normal" traditional life, with all the services that the city offers.
I chose the first path, the more uncertain, more challenging one: becoming an entrepreneur myself, managing a shelter for the Italian Alpine Club far from home.
I made the right choice! For over 10 years, until 2018, I was a refuge manager.
Since then, I wanted to describe and narrate the work of this mountain professional, first through a blog that is now a website, social profiles, a YouTube channel, a publishing project of 2 books, video lessons, and personalized consultations for many aspiring refuge managers.
